some recipes i've used from other sites

this is a recipe i liked from another blog and site that i'm on.
makes 7-8 dozen, cook 10 min at 180C

500 grams butter (approx 1.1 lb)
1 can condensed milk (390-400 gram)
1 cup sugar
5 cups wholemeal self raising flour (or plain flour and paking powder)
toppings like choc chips, smarties, jam, cinnamon and sugar

cheap biscuits and easy to make.
you cream together the butter and sugar then add the condensed milk, add the flour, roll into balls and flatten or cut shapes with shape cutter into them. then top them with chocolate chips or jam. with mine i got my little one to help and we did afew with cutter and afew circle ones with jam in the middle. we accidently used evaperated milk but it came out good so worked just as well. we've got 3 freezer bags of the dough in the freezer.

another good biscuit mix i've found is

175g/6oz Plain Flour
100g/4oz Butter or Margarine
50g/2oz Caster Sugar

Pre-heat oven to 150°C/300°F Gas 2

Cream the butter or margarine and caster sugar together until they are light and fluffy. Stir in the flour and once mixed knead the dough together until it forms a ball, add a sprinkle of flour if the dough is at all sticky.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until it is about 5mm thick.

Cut out the dough using your chosen cutter.

Place the biscuits on a floured baking tray and bake in the centre of the oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Let the biscuits cool on a wire tray before decorating

this one works just as well. i've also made these at samhain/halloween and made faces and crushed up sweets to fall them.we enjoyed them.
